A Mother's Day Poem: To My Boys
Please don't forget the feeling in your belly when you spin.
Don't lose the joyful freedom to dance around and sing.
Don't forget how it feels to swing so high you fly.
Or how strong and brave you are to give something new a try.
Don't forget how to lose control when you laugh 'til you can't breathe.
Or how very small you feel when you climb a giant tree.
Because time will move swiftly, though I plead for it to slow.
And the world may become smaller, the larger that you grow.
So one day when you're not so little and things aren't so brand new,
Look inside of your adventurous heart and it'll all be there for you.
